Senior Controls Technologist

Process Group is seeking motivated and experienced individual for the role of Senior Controls Technologist in the Cambridge area for an immediate position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and supervise, monitor and inspect control projects from concept to fully functional system.
  • Prepare and interpret conventional and AutoCAD engineering designs, drawings, and specification for machines and components, with programming and implementing PLC’s, HMI’s, robots and SCADA systems.
  • Design & draft electrical system with knowledge in Servo and Motion Controllers, Variable Frequency Drives, Vision Systems, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
  • Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports.
  • Prepare contracts and tender documents.
  • Conduct tests & analysis & troubleshooting on site of machines, components and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress and other characteristics for commission & start-up equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation & reports.
  • Provide technical support to customers and in-company staff.
  • Prepare standards and schedules and supervise mechanical maintenance programs or operations of mechanical plants.
  • Any other assigned duties as required by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor degree in engineering area
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience working in the field of automation technology
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in managing medium size projects ranging from $200k to $1 Million
  • Leadership skills and strong willingness to innovate are assets
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are important
